With the increase of the conveyor volume and the increase of the distance and speed of the single conveyor, the safety and reliability of the belt conveyor is also increasing. The normal operation of the belt conveyor depends on the quality of the main parts, and the safety protection device is also a link that can not be ignored. It can reduce the damage degree of accidents to people and equipment.Mainly used in the design of coal handling system in thermal power plant of belt conveyor safety protection device: two level deviation switch, two-way pull switch, longitudinal tear protection device, slip detection speed display device, chute protection device, material flow detector, a detector etc.. In the running process of the two level deviation switch belt conveyor, the conveyor belt often runs off. In order to prevent this phenomenon, the idler roller is often used on the conveyor’s upper roller, and a group of idlers are arranged on every 10 groups along the length of the belt conveyor. Although these anti deflection measures play a partial role in a certain extent, they can’t completely eliminate the deviation phenomenon. In order to make the belt conveyor cause no accident due to deviation, a two grade running off switch is usually needed, usually with a double convex wheel structure, with vertical roller automatic reset function. The two-way rope pulling switch is mainly used for timely handling and preventing accidents of personal equipment when transporting materials. The rotary cam structure is adopted mostly, and the swing rod can be rotated. When an emergency occurs, a pull – off switch is pulled at any place along the site, and a stop signal can be sent. There are two kinds of two – way pull – rope switch automatic reset and manual reset. When the switch sends out the stop signal, the swing lever is automatically restored to the position before the action. After the failure is eliminated, it can run the normal operation immediately. The manual reset type, when the switch sends a stop signal after the switch, automatic locking, and the warning signs show this switch is in working condition, can make the site management to accurately identify different installation position of the switch is action, convenient on-site management personnel to timely treatment, accident treatment, restore to the original state of manual switch. The two-way pull – rope switch is installed along the middle frame of the belt conveyor, arranged on one side or both sides of the belt conveyor by the running channel. The distance between two pull – rope switches is suitable for 50~80m. When wire rope is used as the drawstring, the spacing between the fixed cables and the pullout rings should be less than 3m, so as to avoid the rope’s vertical winding. When the nylon rope is used to pull the rope, the spacing between the fixed cables and the pullout rings should be limited to 4~5m. In the installation, we should also pay attention to the installation of a fixed direction pull ring on the left and right side of the rope switch.Good quality conveyor rollers play a vital role.
When the longitudinal tearing monitor belt conveyor is running at high speed, the material falls along the chute to the conveyor belt surface. If there is a metal piece or a large material in the material, it is possible to break the conveyor belt through the tape and cause the belt to tear along the longitudinal direction. The longitudinal tearing of the conveyer belt is a malignant accident. In order to avoid the longitudinal tear of the conveyer belt, the longitudinal tear monitor should be installed on the belt conveyor in the design. It can continuously survey the belt conveyor running. When the longitudinal tearing failure occurs, the stop signal is sent out in time to prevent the failure from expanding. The longitudinal tear monitor consists of two parts of the perceptron and the control box.
